AMP Approach |
AMP is a tiered approach to labor management, consisting of four key elements, each tier building on the previous level. Productivity improvement increases with each tier in the pyramid, ranging from 10-50%. AMP is structured to be flexible and conform to the needs of our clients. For example, there is productivity benefit in lean processes, and this is the foundation of a successful AMP program. However, developing engineered labor standards without first developing lean processes would result in inaccuracies and lack of fairness, which would negatively impact morale. A similar situation occurs with incentives. While it is proven that pay-for-performance incentives motivate most people to perform highly, not all companies are culturally aligned with this pay strategy. |
